This is a bridge near us that is on the national register of historic places. It's one of the few remaining rainbow arch bridges in the country. My great uncle was the last man living who worked on this bridge when he was 24-25 years old. He passed away a few months ago at age 98. I've spent many hours playing in White River below this bridge. Their is a train trestle that crosses the river to the left of the arch bridge (car traffic). We used to sit under the bridges when a train would cross, it was so neat. My grandad spent many of his retirement hours guiding trout fishermen on the White River. It's a part of my life and a beautiful piece of architecture. It's in Cotter, Arkansas. I didn't grow up in Cotter, but grew up 4 miles east of the river in Flippin (yes, that's a real town!) I'm going to take some more shots of this bridge, why I haven't before now I don't know. This one was taken from the "new" road that bypasses the town of Cotter.
