Poor Darrell!! He looks so miserable. I bet he has been skunked more than once? Our red heeler cross, Hope, had a love affair going with Peppe' LePhew when her first summer! Thank goodness she outgrew it!
haha my friends dog got in a little 'meeting' with a baby skunk and got sprayed in the mouth! she dumped lots of tomato juice in his mouth and he's perfectly fine now.
Hee-hee - poor doggie :) Our "outside" dog, Buck, used to have run-ins with porcupines, moose and the occasional bear, but we don't have skunks here in Alaska; we did have them in our neighborhood in Colorado, however! Most people might think me strange, but I love skunk scent and miss it on occasion...
poor dog, no wonder she looks so soulful. How did she get skunked, luckily we don't have them in England, a badgers poop smells pretty vile though and dog loves to roll in it.
Oh, what a sad, depressed, and stinky dog! Darrel got the bad end of a skunk stand off yesterday morning, so he had to have a bath in our skunk concoction. Today he just had a very faint skunk smell, but only after getting wet. That stuff really works!
1 16oz bottle of hydrogen peroxide 1/2 cup baking soda 1 Tbsp Dawn dishwashing liquid Enough water to make a gallon. Mix thoroughly, pour into a spray bottle, or garden sprayer to spray on house or porches (yes, we had that at our other house...ewww) Pour mixture directly on the dog, and let it sit as long as you can or work it into the fur. (D shook several times so it took several doses). Rinse with clean water.
