I am taking Heidi Swapp's Art of Observation class and the first weeks assignment was Beauty. To look and find beauty all around you. I choose to use photos that I had already take of my birthplace. Since i did not grow up in the town I was born in there are not many memories, but I know and feel it is a beautiful place. The assignment was to make a flip book to go inside her memory file system, but I am not using those so I just adapted the layout to a traditional 12x12. Still added the interactive elements. When I put the pages in my album page protector I just cut slits and pulled out the interactive parts. I also was able to play around with my handwriting and use it for the journaling on several of the pages. The concept of writing so much on my page is very foreign to me but I embraced the opportunity to try it! Over all I am very pleased with how the pages came out, even though it took several days for it to all come together.
