These are pictures of the past and present Hutto, Texas. The journaling reads:
Hutto, Texas… Home of the Fighting Hippos
When we moved here the population sign read 769. Hutto was a nice quite little central Texas town, perfect for raising a family. K-12th grade all in one school building. We have enjoyed living here for 25 years but now that small town is fading. Hutto, Tx is the fastest growing city in Williamson Co. and Williamson Co. is the fastest growing county in the state. In the past 5 years Hutto has opened 3 shopping centers, 5 banks, 2 big home improvement stores, 8 beauty salons, 25 places to eat, 1 large auto dealership, 6 schools, 3 auto repair shops and so much more. They tell us that there are other great businesses on the horizon. It's bittersweet indeed. Thankfully we did raise our children in that little town but today…Our little town ain't so little anymore.
