My son John. He was such a tiny baby at 5 lb 10 oz and because of problems with a cleft palate he lost 1 pound within the first week because he could not eat. I spent an entire weekend in a panic calling the pediatrician with nurses who were clueless. He was put in ICU that Monday, (born the previous Tues.) and it took 4 tries before the doctor gave up and just cut a large hole in a premie nipple so he could use a bottle. It took a whole month to gain the weight back and finally my baby came home!
He's still a skinny string bean!
