This is a LO of my grand-father who passed away at the end of last year. I am really not pleased with how this turned out, but I don't think I'd ever be happy with it.
I tried to create a LO that I thought he'd like, so I used the name he used for himself and not his Christian name, I also used earthy colours because I thought they were more him. The small piece of rope in the bottom left corner is to show his days in the navy and also because for his funeral they removed the brass handles from the coffin and replaced them with rope.
The envelope opens to reveal a poem written by my Aunt and read at his burial. This poem can be viewed in my Blog.
