Heather!! I have completely missed this awesome LO! What terrific journaling (so real) and I, as usual...love, love the design of this with those papers and the plates! Perfect work here!!!
This is an AWESOME LO. It shows the attention to detail you put into this -- the embellie choices, the perfect matting, the color scheme (LOVE LOVE IT!), the perfectly chosen sunset shot. But I love the journaling the best! Yes -- definitely one to submit!
wow, this is AWESOME!! What a great story to document, plus your design is perfect. I love the story behind it, esp that the sound of the engine used to give you butterflies. That is so sweet! You reallllly should submit this baby. It's wonderful and the mags love masculine-themed lo's.
My poor dh had to give up this truck (1969 Chevy 1/2 ton) when we moved to Idaho in 2002 and so I felt I should "honor" it by scrapping the pics he used to advertise it. The journaling reads:
You could hear the rumble of it a mile away. The sound always caused butterflies in my stomach, as it was a sign that Brian was coming to see me. Being a Chevy, it was the cause of many jokes with Brian at the dinner table of my home; however, you would find a Chevy Parking Only sign months later in our driveway. At Christmas time, I gave him a seatbelt for the middle seat so that we could sit next to each other on dates. Unfortunately after our wedding it was decided that it wasn't practical to bring it with us to Idaho especially since it was a gas hog. These pictures were taken in July 2002 and it was sold a month later on Ebay, a very bittersweet day in our life. There was relief and yet sorrow for the the times that would be lost without it.
