In this month's issue of CK, they talk about taking a self portrait and this is mine. I can't help but keep using the new Basic Grey - love it soooo much!!!! Thank you for looking!

Journaling:
I remember being 13. I was in Junior High and school was not of my concern. I had discovered boys, found my way into a social group of a few close friends, and started wearing clothes that were in style rather than for my own comfort. I was determined to be a model, to someday marry my high school sweetheart and to have as much fun as possible while avoiding homework. I was asked about this time, what I would like to be when I grow up. My vision said modeling, my reality said a magazine editor. I was to be in New York somewhere working on either a high profile model shoot for a magazine cover or editing the magazine itself. My husband of course would follow my dream and we would travel and have money for anything.

As time would have it, I did work as an editor on the yearbook staff in High School, a passion more realistic than the size 10 jeans I was wearing that would void out modeling. I ended up going to prom with a guy I had dated briefly but looked good in a tux. And well, today I live in Idaho with my husband of 4 years, Brian. I never have to question his love, he follows my dreams and I support his too. We have a dog, I have a scrapbook room and he has his garage full of toys. I work as a sales representative for a national catalog company and someday will go up to editing. We have enough money that we live comfortably and don’t go without, but we definitely work hard. Are we happy? Yes. Am I happy 10 years later with where I’m at? Yes. This is me at 23.
