Another page from our participation in the Race for the Cure last weekend. I still have a couple more pictures I want to scrap which, of course, means a couple more LOs. Just wanted to warn everyone. LOL! Anyway, we've definitely decided to make this walk a new family tradition

Journaling: This was such an emotional day for us. Especially for your dad. It's only been 5 months since he lost his mom and I can only imagine what he must be feeling. Sometimes I look at him and see a little boy lost because his heart and soul are still grieving for her. It was cold and rainy the morning of the walk. Daddy hates cold and rainy. Like his mome he worships the sun and has always thought the hotter the better. As we were starting to take our first steps toward the starting line he looked up to the Heavens and asked why Mimi didn't have any pull with the Big Guy to make this a sunny day, or to at least stop the rain. Within a minute or two the rains stopped, and the sun even peeked its beautiful face from behind the clouds a couple of times. It wasn't until we were approaching the van after the race that the temperature started to drop and the raindrops began to fall again. Hmmm...maybe she does have some pull.
