We had the most glorious day at the Statue of Liberty! We saw the inner workings and the history museum....it was pretty funny when the kids stood next to an exact replica of her feet! We thought it was especially curious how the granite base had green on it from where the statue had drained off.
Under the far bottom right picture, the journaling reads, We all loved our whole vacation, but we had to agree that this was the perfect place and the perfect day. We had purchased tickets early so we could go up into the pedestal of the statue. Very few people did that, so we were almost alone up there. There was so much security, including a 'puffer' that sniffed us for biological weapons. We loved the lady in New York Harbor.
