This will be such a cherished treasure for your daughter someday. I get a lump in my throat every time I hear "Baby Mine"! Love the little pink ribbon accents!
Page for the birth of DD. She was born with a cleft lip and palate, which was a shock. I got to this page nearly 4 years later and it was tough to scrap. Every emotion from that day swirled through me for the week I worked on it. The title Baby Mine refers to Mrs Jumbo's song in Dumbo.. that scene has made me cry every time I've seen it.. even as a child. So the journaling on the front reads:
Baby Mine, don't you cry. Baby Mine, don't you cry. Rest your head close to my heart, Never to part. Baby of mine. -Mrs Jumbo.
It also happens to go perfectly with the elephants on the Basic Grey Oh Baby Girl paper.
Behind the top left photo, I have a hidden journaling tag that I wrote for my daughter. It reads:
My lovely Mya...
This day was filled with so many emotions: joy and love; fear and sadness. We all love you so much that we were bursting with it. We were also frightened and sad becuase we couldn't understand how this could've happened to you- to us. We knew that your road in life would have suffering and we wouldn't be able to protect you from it- no matter how much we wanted. Yours is the path of the brave and the strong. We will be with you every step and you will always have our love. We are so proud to have you as a daughter.
This was an emotional layout for me. I'm glad to be able to share it.
