South Fl Fair 1/04.. this layout gave me such a hard time that I even blogged about it. It isn't the best I've done..but important in a few ways.. this is the first layout I've done completely freehand. No patterns for my paper piecing. I think they would have turned out better if I had used bazzill instead of the SEI papers that went with this. They aren't textured, and don't hold chalk well. That's my only beef with SEI papers.. they always make their papers (mostly) impossible to match with Bazzill.
The second new technique I tried was to make the lettering with my new Cricut expressions that hubby gave me for my birthday. It is definetly easy to use.. but I feel like we wasted $300.. I just don't know that I'll use it that much. I'd rather have the variety of the fonts I can find on the internet. Which I have to trace and cut.. so there is a definite plus in the cricut's favor.
