I needed a photo to go with my poem "The Regular Man." I found a picture of my Great Uncle Milton who was very handsome. He was, however, a wonderful man. Sorry Uncle Milton, but I needed a good looking guy to go with my verse!

The Regular Man

He's a quiet man, with a cool, soft grin,
walking silently, like a cat crept in.

He has mystery, when you start to ask,
anything about his life orpast.

He's the one red rose and the words like silk,
he's the perfect teeth that are white as milk.

He's the hurting boy, in the grown-up man,
who can melt your heart till' you cannot stand.

He's the one who loves to dance real slow,
when the music stops and he won't let go.

He's "You eyes are blue," and "I'll never leave,"
he's the one the girls always believe.

He's the confident man, that your daddy scorned,
with his wistful looks and a face forlorn.

He's the catch you need to throw back in,
then turn and run away from him.

He's the lesson learned, by the girls before,
how the regular man...
is worth lookin for.
