My great, great grandmother Mary (Feller) Lamb 1855-1934 The journaling is an excerpt from Mary Lamb's journal. It showcases her faith in God and her love for her family.
November 17, 1903 Tuesday Ironed part of the clothing and then did come mending. Helped Aunt Mate dress the ducks. Baked for supper. They were delicious. Hugh & Frank both at home this evening. Mamie is practicing her music which I enjoy greatly. Very cold. God is good and daily we are fed & nourished by His bountiful hand. Oh for hearts filled with love for the precious Saviour. Blessed Lord bring our boys to thy feet. Give us grace that our walk may be such as to be useful in thy hands in leading our own unto thee.
November 18, 1903 Wednesday Aunt Mate and I went up to town in lumber wagon. Called at Mrs. Rensen’s. Was not at home. Then went to Mrs. Cramer’s. Enjoyed a very pleasant call. Called at Mr. Kenner’s office. Met the secretary of the Equitable Insurance Co. Left Mrs. Kenner veil at her Millinery room. Very cold.
November 19, 1903 Thursday after lunch Aunt Mate & I went to the Aid at Katie Wolf’s. ? comfort for Mrs. Miller. Refreshment served sandwiches, wafers, pickles and coffee. A very pleasant social gathering. O for a heart filled ? for Christ. Precious Saviour ? me to work in thy Vineyard.
