It's so unusual for Texas to get snow, but we've had snow several times this winter; Just before Christmas, on Christmas Eve and from February 10-12 we got a real Texas blizzard!
It started snowing Wednesday night and then snowed all day Thursday through midnight. It was so pretty! Barb measured the depth under the flagpole and it was 9 inches. This morning it was11 inches deep! This is the most snow I have ever seen in my sixty-one years. Being a native Texan and from Houston, we just never got much; a dusting now and then and not much more. Having moved to the Dallas area in 1986, I saw a little more over the years. 2004 was the most I'd experienced before now.
The bad part of it, was that having had foot surgery recently, I was not able to get out in the snow and enjoy it. I had to resign myself to taking pictures from inside the office and from the garage and front and back porch.
