SHCG: This digi went to my inspiring faves, especially since a great way to scrap with photos I didn't actually take, and for bom pages about stuff I like that I don't have photos of. I love that you broke up that bg with a black journaling strip, and that some of the guitars are colored in. Nice titlework and photo placement, too. I'd like to see the journaling strip extend to the top of the page, and an edgier font for the journaling. I really like how the rainbow colors of this page are more rock and roll, than bright and cheery.
SHCG - OMG you are so awesome for taking the digi plunge & your 1st LO is supercool! Like the artists you praise in this, this page ROCKS. I love the guitar background, the matted array of bands, the descriptive journaling in red. I could see maybe an additional colored matte around the journaling block, maybe in one of the brights you use in "u rock," just to make it pop more. I adore this! Excellent job!
shcg: i like the placement and the variety of pics. suggestion only, preference really, a little varience on the color of the mats behind the pics and maybe a few more colors in the guitars. the journaling is wonderful. and of course i agree with it completely.
Bravo!!!!! I'm very happy that you shared this with us!!!! I'm proud of you, because I too, grew up with parents that always said if they could hear the music, it was too loud...* Funny thing: Many years ago, a friend of mine went to a David Bowie concert,,,took pictures with her camera,,,Had the film developed...But when she went back to pick up her photos, Guess What?? They didn't have them!! So obvious that someone working there saw "DAVID BOWIE" pictures and stole them!! She never got to have them..Anyway, just wanted to tell you that...People love the music from that time, and so do I.....;)
SHCG: Way to kick a** at your first digi LO! I would color in more guitars at the top, just to bring a little more interest to the top of the page. And I totally agree with new artists not being real talent. Must current music is just... blah. Great job!
This is my first digital layout. Journaling Reads: I remember when my parents told me to turn down that trash. I thought they were uncool. I swore to always be hip when it came to music. Not even 40 years old and I listen to musicians that were established before my time. I think very few current people have true talent. These men have proved themselves to be legends at what they do. They set the standard and with each new album continue to raise the bar. I never grow tired of their music. It is truly art. I thank them for providing me with over 20 years of entertainment. I thank them for for still recording today. If I ever met them I would tell them.....U Rock!
