Thats how I have my ribbon and floss stored too! It does work very well. Last year Hobby Lobby put all their ribbon on sale 50 % off plus they had many colors and styles on clearance even cheaper .........I bought a bunch divided the rolls into fourths, wound them on plastic and put them in plastic organizers which were also on sale. and gave them to my sister, SIL and friend Jess for Christmas and had one left over for myself. :O) It turned out being a very inexpensive gift, about $5.00 per person and I know they really liked it. (It was much cheaper buying ribbon by the roll......but a whole roll is way too much for one person to use scrapping......It also was cheaper buying ribbon in the sewing department versus the scrapping section. The selection was just as nice.)

very pretty. I love my ribbon on the pegs in the glass jar- but I see the advantages to this too - especially it's FLAT and stackable :) The thumbnail looked intriguing - never guessed it was ribbon - I thought maybe the sock drawer LOL ... ribbon is much more interesting LOL

Oh they look so pretty too! I have my embroidery floss wrapped like this and I love it. They are much neater and easier to find. And, by the way, is that a ribbon obsession? :)
