I understand completely - I always like to leave my salsa, and the other things I can, out for a while to admire... but it's dangerous! If anyone comes to the house that doesn't do their own canning - things mysteriously disappear (I usually KNOW but it's so hard to say no! :) LOL)
That's a huge accomplishment. I do a little canning with my sister. She's got a grape arbor, we do jelly/jam/juice and last year we tried our hand at wine. It's still doing whatever it's suppose to do.
I'm amazed at the things you do & with the quantity too! I have no idea what canning is like but I'll bet there is a lot of work involved! How long will these 78 quarts last you?
very neat photo. When my mom makes applesauce, she puts it into ziploc bags and stores it in the freezer. Still looks neat, and tastes just as good as before.
So do I! There's something theropudic about the whole process of making applesauce, especially leaving them in view for awhile. I love my homemade apple sauce!
wow. My MIL cans applesauce - but she has everything set up (she has essentially a second kitchen in the basement) where she can just do five at a time... they make all the sauce from apples from the tree in the back yard.
