#9-Caught

Wow! I love these critters they are so.... I don't know... intereting. I'll never forget the time the beagle we once owned barked and barked at a mantis he'd cornered in our yard. He literally rolled over in front of it and tried to get it to play with him! The mantis kept rearing up on it's back legs and trying to swat the dog on the nose. I wish we'd had the forethought to take a picture. Your's is wonderful!

Oh, wow! LOVE this, 'Red :D We don't have praying mantises ("manti?") here in Alaska, so I've only seen them in books or on TV -- he certainly blends right in with the tree, doesn't he? Excellent capture - into my favorites :)
