Journaling: Michelle: I've always liked my name for the most part, although there have been times when I wished I had a Filipino (name). Nanay and my Godmother Lisa chose the name. Mom says they watched a lot of American movies and had a few friends with the same name, so they decided on the name Michelle. Pantoja: My official name as it appears on my birth certificate is Michelle Pantoja. I've always liked Pantoja because it is unique. Pantoja is Nanay's maiden name. Like most Hispanics & Filipinos, I carry my mom's maiden name as my 'middle' name. Mom, Mike, Ma'Niya, Zenaida and I all carry the name Pantoja. If I ever have kids, they'll carry the name as well. I'll always be connected to my Pinoy relatives with this name. McKinney: Dad gave me his name. Although it's not on my birth certificate, it's on every other official document I own. With this name I became part of a huge, loving, crazy family. I'm thankful that my names allow both sides of my family to claim me.

Nicknames: Chelle: short for Michelle, Gabby: given to me by Grandma, YaYa: My nieces name for me

Screen Names: msmichellemck, chelmck, ebony pinay
