Obama Rally layout. Journaling: Election '08: This was a tremendous year for politics. The nation was in dire need for change and many of us found it change in Barack Obama. He visited Ohio several times, but I couldn't manage to attend an event. I was afraid my chances were done when it was announced that he would be speaking at UC's Nippert stadium on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Sporting my Obama tee, Keith and I headed out to see him. We waited in line for nearly 3 hours. The campus was filled with Obama supporters, all were filled with hope and enthusiasm which helped make the wait easier to bear. We changed seats 3 times before getting settled and awaiting his arrival. The crowd was diverse...all colors, ages, genders and occupations. When he arrived he left us energized and ready to change the world...which we did!
