This is my ‘adopted’ mother and my sweet granddaughter. Erma and Harold live in an apartment we made for them in our downstairs. Though not my real parents, we’ve known each other for about 30 years and decided it was about time to ‘adopt’ them!

The picture was taken with a cell phone, so it’s a bit fuzzy, but I still love it anyway!! And it's even fuzzier because of the lighting when I took the picture. (the paper looks splotchy or dirty, but it is really beautiful) What a sweet relationship they have. I speak of this in the journaling: “Can you see the love that these two have for each other! Regardless of the age difference, they are truly the best of friends. What a treasure it is too!”

I must thank daniholsapple for the idea about the flowers. When I saw the sweet hat on her baby, I knew I had to do something similar. Can you scraplift a hat???

Products used: NRN Designs paper, white and blue cardstock, clear transparency, computer font, Metal heart embellishment (can’t remember who makes it), ribbon, flowers (from Walmart), blue chalk (on tag), Friskers border punch (for tag), and snap buttons (?)
