This is a lovely page Sue! I LOVE dogs and miss mine. I gave them up after having little children, I'm hoping to get another one when they get a little older. I Love your chip board! And the way you blocked the photos is perfect! You do amazing work!!!! Love it!!
Aww, what a great idea! You did a wonderful job here and the journaling is sweet. I have never heard that quote...and isn't it true. I had never thought about doing a page like this.. I have tons of pix of past dogs from the years. You haven't lost your touch either ;)I love everything you did here from the color to placements. Great choice of papers and embellies. Now off to see more of your pages. I missed YOU too! :)
Almost makes me cry. I have special memories of past babies, and this inspires me to make a page or two about them also. Great colors, love the letters!
This is beautiful. I miss all the ones that are gone too - even the ones that didn't make it to the page.
For those of you that are dog lovers, keep in mind that Grandma Sue is a hopeless animal lover. She ALWAYS has three dogs at a time. She is so close to the local animal rescue people that they know if she loses a dog, they can bring her another one. We always thought that she would be veterinarian when she grew up, but she decided to spend her tuition money on animal care... (might have been cheaper to go to school, sis)... Her doggies are always very well behaved and very well taken care of. Spoiled, but not to extreme. They know they are loved. BTW, she also collects dogs with problems, had one that was a diabetic and one that I don't know what was wrong with it but it had a funny dance routine. Do a page on Harry, Pal and Dusty, Sue.
Great job - love it.
Awwwww, this is so sweet, I'm so sorry about the ones that have already passed, pets are such a big part of our family too! Those are all beautiful dogs, and some of our best pets have been strays too, they seem to really appreciate a second chance!!!! They all have really lovable faces! They are all lucky dogs!!!! Love the lo!!! That quote is sooooo true!!! Love the alphas on this one!
I love the photos of all the dogs, I love that you've rescued so many!! The patterned paper in the letters, the title in the middle, the pics layered in the corners all make a very unique, very warm and happy layout!! This made me smile and my dd will love this too!! Thanks for sharing!
I just love your pages, from the wonderful way you journal (and the things you say in your journaling) to the creative ways you do your titles, and create your embellies!! From one dog lover to another - this page rocks!!
This is fabulous. Love the concept of featuring many of your dogs on one page. The grouping of the pics with just a fine line of matting is perfect. Love those colors too. You should post this on the Pet Challenge this month.
Very cute layout! I love the way you used your patterned paper and I love the letters in the title. You must be a huge dog-lover! I also have had several. Don't have one right now!
Here are some of the dogs that I have loved. On the top left is Baby, TJ and Buster (the big dog). These dogs are now deceased. On the bottom Coco (rescued and given as a gift to my son - who still has her), Bonnie, Zip and BooBoo. (starting from the top right, clockwise)
There have been others in addition to these, and I will have to scrap them too, someday. All these dogs were 'rescued' except TJ, and we got him as a pup. Those previous owners missed out on some of the best pets I've ever had!
The quote around the bottom and going up the right side says:
My goal in life is to be as good a person my dog already thinks I am!
