I just love this pic of my Dad!!! I NEVER journal but just had to this time. There's a hidden tag (got a little carried away with the fibers!) tucked behind the right side of the pic & reads: "This photo of my Dad, Philippe Bernier, was taken in Packwood, WA in 1971 & it says so very much about him. He made his dream come true when he moved us all from Quebec to the USA in 1958. I just love how he's looking at the American flag & there are 2 of his favorite hobbies represented in the photo, cars & camping. He restored this 1956 Ford pick up & put a 429 V8 motor in it along with an automatic transmission, power steering & power brakes. He loved camping too & you can see the flag is mounted on the travel trailer. I have so many great memories of camping as a child & he took us as much as possible during the summers. In this photo he's wearing the coverall's he always wore to work at the Packwood Lumber Company where he worked as a saw filer. The mill is pictured in the background so as you can see it was just a short walk for him. " Kinda long winded for a girl who never journal's, huh? Anyway, I added a little Jolee's house on this because we actually lived on the mill property. Thanks Chipboard Queen for the Jolee's USA embellie! I made some of the pebbles (flower & star centers) using scraps from the Webster's pp I used (the lady bugs & tiny blossom). Thanks so much for looking & have a great day!!!
