For the scraplift the person before you challenge for Nov. '09. I scraplifted CatScrap'sHere's I Believe in Miracles...http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/149795/view/1100429/0/320/1.html It's a photo of my Dstepson on the way out the door to his first day of school for this year. The "journalling" is part of Dr. Seuss's Oh the Places you Will Go. I added the wording onto the photo with a photo editing photo before I sent it off to get printed. This is using a 5x7 print.
I masked the scalloped edge on the left (I made my own mask with cardstock/cricut) with aqua ink, doodled a line and dots inside the whole border, and used rub-on arrows in the scallops. I masked the stars on the top border of the red pp, and then doodled a thick line inside the stars (again, made the mask with cs/cricut). I masked "GO!" by using thickers as a mask and inking over them with red ink. I used a stampin up roller stamp to stamp the star border in navy, then I colored in some of the outlined stars with a colored pencil.
I layered the pp on after I masked the bg cs, and adhered the photo.
The "OH!" is thickers, the "the" and "you'll" are cut from aqua bazzill using my cricut, and "places" is cut from my cricut using a pp from this line of paper I used.
The stars are painted and varnished chipboard. The bigger red star has an opening that I backed with a pp from this line of paper. The green stars have white rubon's added on top of the paint job, before I sealed them with varnish.
