NSD 2020 Scrapbooker's Choice Challenge!
DH and dd play Candyland with our 2 nieces on New Year's Eve at my sister's house.
I had so much fun making this lo. I had the sheet of Candyland pp, but didn't want to use the whole sheet, because I only have one sheet of it, but a lot of photos of times we played the game, so I just cut a strip from it and adhered it to the bottom of a piece of white cs I had cut down to allow for a good border when I matted it onto the yellow cs I wanted for the border of the page. I found a bunch of pp scraps that coordinated with the Candyland pp and cut them into "rays". I adhered the yellow ray, then outlined each side of the ray with my white pen (drew on the white cs) then used my Perfect Layers ruler to measure where I wanted the next ray and used the white pen to draw the line to mark where to put it, then adhered the next ray. I punched circles from the "ray" scraps and used foam adhesive to pop the dots onto the matching rays. I matted the photo with white cs, then pps. I adhered the matted photo, then added the ribbon between the Candyland border and the rays/photo. I added some journaling spots and some embellishments.
