Sorry for the poor photo. I took it using my cell phone camera. It gives you the general idea.

Journaling is written from Big Dog's viewpoint. I typed it on ComicSans font and created a custom rose-ish color, then printed it on vellum and tore the edges. I attached it with two pink heart brads at the top.

"My Name is Big Dog. I am Amber's favorite friend. I was given this name because she also has a little dog dressed just like me whom she calls Little Pink Dog. There's also Purple Dog and Little Blue Dog, but I'm her favorite. Amber and I have had many adventures in the 15 years we've been together. Her Mommy and Daddy won me at a carnival when she was about a year old. I was attached with velcro to a hot-pink heart pillow, but Amber took me off of it. We were inseparable! We went everywhere together! We went to numerous doctor appointments, trips to the emergency room for urgent care (sometimes even receiving my own hospital bracelets), St Luke's hospital for a minor tissue removal, and the insertion of ear tubes. We also had lots of fun. We went to Florida a few times in the car and on an airplane. I was frightened to fly, but I received my own airline tag around my wrist, and Amber carried me the intire trip! I'm glad I didn't need a ticket. I also watched Amber go to kindergarten. I was lonely my first day home without her, but I was so glad when she came home! I learned that she had to go back the next day, and I eventually got used to the idea that Amber goes to school, and I stay home with Mamaw and Papaw. Over the years I met some of Amber's friends. I've alway sslept with Amber, regardless of how old she got. She has a lot of stuffed friends, but I'm her favorite. I met her boyfriend, Tony. He's nice. (I'm still her favorite, but don't tell Tony 'cause he might get mad.) My hat and pajamas were once light pink with darker pink hearts. My hat also had a cool pompom on the tend, but it fell off somewhere. I also have a satin ribbon bow that has been sewed on more times than I can count. I don't think AMber would let me have another one because it wouldn't be the same. I have always been there to comfort her and share her secrets. I dried her tears when her Mommy and Daddy divorced when she was 6 years old. I dried her tears when her Papaw went to Heaven when she was 12 years old. When you graduate high school, will I still be your favorite? One day when you get married, I hope you don't forget me and I get to come live with you. I am Big Dog and I'll always be here."
