Her Aunt Susie (my sister) is holding her. The first photo shows her with a glow stick and it went straight into her mouth! Under that photo reads"Is this what you mean by 'lighting up the pumpkin'?" The second photo shows her with a smirk and the comment "Oh, okay, fine! I'll smile......" the third photo shows her staring at her aunt's coat sleeve with "....but Aunt Susie's coat sleeve is much more interesting."
The journaling reads: "October 31, 1991 Your first Halloween. You weren't quite old enough to take trick-or-treating, but we still had a little celebration. We called you our little punkin. I can't remember who first gave you the nickname, but it stuck. That's why we carved two pumpkins. One big one, as we had always carved since your Aunt Susie and I were little kids, and a little one just for you. Aunt Susie gave you the glow stick, and straight into your mouth it went. I don't think that's what we meant by we had to light up the pumpkins."
