Wow, just beautiful in every way. Made my eyes all wet! Your Dad must have really loved this. What a sweet and wonderful gift. Lovely touching page. I like the placement of all the items and that cute folded ribbon is a nice touch.
oh, this is so touching to me. my own dad is gone now, but i have sweet memories & pics like this, of my kids & him. I think our parents & grandparents love our scrapbook pages because they know that a part of them will live on and they will not be forgotten. Into my faves!
Awwww this is sooo sweet! I can't tell you how much I LOVE this...my mom has this close relationship with her great-grandson...it's such a beautiful thing to be able to watch them and capture those precious moments they share. Love the old-time embellies and colors here. And that photo is absolutely priceless! TFS
Ohhhhhhhhh yet another touching and beautiful LO! I love this poem it is so sweet. I really like the way you attached the ribbon at the bottom of the page, all the various tags and the way you did your journaling! Now I need to go and get a tissue!
Such a great page, K!!! Love what you did with the ribbon. The handwritten journaling is the best part and has a definite place on LOs, just not my handwriting on my pages. LOL!!! Could you write on mine??!!
OMG! I absolutely LOVE this page! It's no wonder your dad cried when he saw it, it's very touching... and so true that grandparents take so much more time to enjoy the walk with their grandkids rather than speed through life as a parent... sigh... i love this page! :)
WOW ~ I sit here with tears in my eyes even though I've seen a lo similar to this. I just LOVE it! So touching ! Great job! Into my Faves it goes ~ TFS :)
I am so scraplifting this including the journaling! I don't even have the right words for this...I LOVE it!!! What you did with the ribbon is really cool too!
Two years ago, I caught this moment---my dad walking with his great grandson, Tristan. Tristan was jabbering away and my dear old dad was listening patiently. They ended up playing hide'n seek behind the old tree in the backyard. I have photos of that also.
This was a Christmas present for my dad and he cried when he saw it. He is 83 now and has softened over the years. I found the poem on the internet and wish I knew who the author was so I could credit them. I adapted it a little bit and wrote it in my own hand(print)ing. Dad liked that!
The pps are from my stash and I don't know who the manufacturers are! The little truck embellie says, Grandpa's Milk and Cream, Titusville, NJ and I printed that and the Heritage embellie from my CK Becky Higgin's Creative Clips & Fonts scrapbooking software program. The metal frame & photo turns are DCWV The key is from Joanns The ribbons from Michaels The blue love tag is Making Memories The clock was in a package from a Swap ?? The compass is from a set of travel embellies - Big Lots $1.50 The Grandpa & Me sticker is from a roll at my LSS
