This beautiful lady is my 82 year old mother, Betty. I took this photo on Mother's Day, 2008 and it is the best picture I have of her. She is pretty frail these days, but insisted on standing unassisted for this photograph. My mom is my life-long best friend and it is a joy to care for her in these days when her health and strength are failing. She is my heart. I love her so much.

Of course, I can't forget the sweet dog. This is Daisy, a purebred Shih tzu who belongs to my cousin, Susie. I am affectionately called Daisy's FairyDogMother!! I love that title and accept it gladly! When Daisy is around, Mom lights up like a Christmas tree. Thankfully, Susie lets us *babysit* Daisy frequently.

I made this LO for my mom for Christmas. She didn't recognize herself!! Her outfit was a Mother's Day present and I used it as my palette for choosing papers and embellishments. There is some journaling inside the little polka dot rectangle just telling what we did to celebrate her birthday and Mother's Day, which fell on the same day that year.
