wow - that is quite the work of art and you are one wild and wacky girl. I love this Internet because I can meet people like you on here and have my day lifted.
I love all the details - my fave being that you used the tape measure to signify the date... clever! How you incorporated your journaling as part of the stitch work is awesome. Really great LO! Super.
I really enjoy reading all about how your LO/s come together. What fun you & I both have arranging & finalising our works of art! I love that you do so much by hand. Thats what its all about. TFS ;D
What a super creative costume and layout. I love all the little details, like the measuring tape for the date. Your faux stitching is great and the journaling around the edges is perfect.
JOURNALING: "I have to come to follow in your modern traditions of All-Hallows-Eve. I have brought you treats to ward off any trickery. But, I have yet to understand the smelling of the feet." I would say this to everyone and would get howls of laughter!! :D !!What do I care if Halloween was the next day!?!
This costume was purchased at various garage sales and cost me less than $12.00!!I went all over the town and handed candy out to strangers, even the homeless. What fun!
I went through my scrap pile again and found the paper w/ 1733 Circut cut out of it(used for Savannah LO). I found the 100 year old measuring tape at a garage sale. I made the swirl out of cardboard last year(knowing I'd do something w/it). The leaves were a purchase made w/ Retrojulie over 2 yrs. ago. The lace----garage sale over 1 yr. ago. The frame---scraps that were torn and distressed.I used my glittery light brown pen to make the X's in the cross stitch and then went and used a darker non-glitter pen to dot all the tips of the X's to make it look more like stitching. Thank-you all for being such good neighbors :)
