I'm glad you decided to scrap the photo and the memories surrounding it. Your flowers are so pretty and I love how you used the corrugated chipboard. Great job on the color challenge.
Beautiful page. I completely understand you feeling on this. My family has also been split, only I don't think we ever took any group photos. I would treasure them if we had. TFS.
Love the use of cardboard and the stitching. I feel for you about the family changes...mine has gone through similar. I have a pic of my mom with all of her siblings from 10 or so years ago. It was the last time they were all together. It's sad to think about! I can see why this would be an emotional LO and I commend you for doing it!
I have had this photo in the 3.5x5 size for years on my refrigerator. It is the last photo that I can remember being take of my family, minus my father. It was taken in 1989 (look at my hair and glasses) and so many things have happened since that time. Deaths, issues, no more communication. It is a really emotional page for me. On the back of the page a I made a small pocket for a journaling tag that reads "Christmas Time...1989. This is the last picture that we all took together. I see that horrible look on my face and think, "Why do I look so bothered by this?" Now, 20 years later, I'm so happy I have this photo to remember this time. Then I have listed who the people in the photo are. Not that I need it to remember (hehe). The stitching on this page was inspried by scraprabbit (http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/11788/view/1962303/-1/0/1.html). I will be entering this in the February Colour Challenge hosted by SuperAllyFan and it is also my Week #1 Challenge of using torn paper for the VLB. Thank you for taking a look.
