This is so lovely - - what a lovely story. Thank you for sharing. And how wonderful that you have a pic of you in that fox stole. I remember my grandmother had one of those -- I loved to wear it too. Darling page
How beautiful! Your journaling describing your Mother in her house dresses and aprons, brought me right back to my own Mother in that same dress. I love your journaling......and the page is just charming!
You did a beautiful layout!!! It's so stunning from the photo's to the embellishments to the heart felt words you shared with us.."Memories are like keepsakes, always to be treasured"...you are so lucky to have your mom's cedar chest:)
How wonderful it is to have these great photos and see the "other" side of Mom. Your lo is beautiful, love the little journaling book and your chippies!
OH MY Linnny, this layout is so gorgeous. I love what you did with your clock. It's awesome how you added the chain to it. Beautiful paper and beautiful array of textures.

This is GORGEOUS! Everything about it! Love your journaling book. I'm sitting here crying my eyes out. Made me miss my momma. How lucky your were to have her for 60 years. Love the photos.
Wow, Linda!! WONDERFUL page and a very moving, sweet tribute to your mother. She must be an amazing woman! It's amazing to me the grit and strength women those days had. Beautiful LO and wonderful job on that chippie!
Just beautiful. I love the frame photos and the beautiful job on the chippie, love the added chain. Gorgeous background paper, lovely flowers and butterflies just adds up to a beautiful LO.
This is absolutely gorgeous!! So many elements I would love to lift...the book, the cameos, etc. (but not for this challenge, of course). You did an amazing job on this!
This is a photo of my mom in 1940, and a photo of me in 1949. In each photo we are wearing mom’s fox stole.
My mom was the original ‘domestic goddess’ and her usual look was a ‘house dress’ and apron. She was always cooking, cleaning, and taking care of dad and my two sisters and me. To see her decked out in this outfit and looking so beautiful makes me realize there was another side to her.
The following is the journaling inside the little ‘book’………….. Dearest Mom, So much time has passed since I was toddling around wearing your fox; how I would pet it and giggle, and you would give me a great big smile. This photo shows me standing before your cedar chest, that gorgeous piece of furniture that housed your lovely trousseau. Well, 63 years later I proudly display it in my craft room where it holds many of my crafting supplies. It held your treasures…now mine. But the greatest treasure of all was you. How lucky was I to have had you in my life for 60 years. Time could never erase the cherished memories. Love always, ‘Your’ Linda
