awesome that you scrapped this. I'm originally from California so never realized there were people in the world that had never felt one till Tammy on here talked about this being her first quake too!
On Wednesday June 23, 2010, at 1:41pm an earthquake originated 56 km north of Ottawa, Ontario Canada closest to the settlement of Val-des-Bois, Quebec. It had a magnitude of 5.0 The earthquake was felt as far away as the states of Massachusetts, Michigan, and Ohio.
I was 41 minutes into my work shift when the earthquake happened. I could feel a huge vibration coming from the bottom of my feet. The desks and dividers started moving at the same time. I wasn't the only one who felt this huge vibration. After 20 seconds had gone by, the tremors stopped.
This was the first time I had experienced an earthquake.
