Nice. I like the way you tilted the matting behind the photos. Looks like military uniform? Any old love letters? Maybe a letter or part of a letter, antiqued, could fill in some of the open areas.
Ooh, Penny, your color choices are so lovely here.
I think i would put some info on circular rimmed tags with some ribbon up through the holes and put that on the floral paper. If you have more extensive journalling you could maybe hide it on a tag or something behind your pics. I think I'd put the title down on the bottom under the right-hand picture.
This is gonna be a gorgeous layout. Can't wait to see the finished work! :)
I really love the softness of the pages! You did an excellent job distressing. I also agree that the photo mats should be inked as well. I would also like to see some genealogy information on these pages. Date of birth, where they were born, who they were married to, number of children, education, employment, etc. I feel that is an excellent way to pass down information and will probably we information your children's children will want to know. Overall, I love the look of the pages and how your photo mats are angeled. Beautiful layouts!
Looking good! What beautiful photos! I really like the symmetry and and way you've blocked it out. I think inking the photo mats would definately be a great touch..
Theyt are looking very pretty so far. I love the papers you chose. I agree with journaling idea. Maybe a funnny story to pass down to future generations. I would also try inking around the photo mats and such. Great job!
They look beautiful so far. I agree with Kristen - add some journaling about them and their lives along the side. One tip I got on journaling once was to increase the size of the font on some key words (or even stamp those words) then you could chalk those words to make them stand out, kwim? Just a thought. Great job though! The papers are perfect for this.
wow, so far these look very nice! I love the inking around the edges of the pages. I think biographical info would be good, maybe like a timeline or something? Like, date of birth, place of birth, significant awards or whatever, when they got married, where they worked, etc. etc. That way your children and their children will know their stories. That could go beside the photos. Then maybe in big letters, their first and middle names on the top and bottom, as titles? You are off to an awesome start.
