These photo's refer back to my cowgirl days, when I could still get on a horse. It is sad for me to think all the horses are dead now, along with my rodeo husband.
I used leather lace thru copper eyelets to 'stitch' the corner triangles. Behind the center frames I used a silver metalic mat on dark brown suede to make the photo 'pop'.
The journaling board reads, "Built in 1930, this 2 story, hand hewn log structure is located near the main fork of the Quinault river, 13 miles from the end of the nearest road". President Teddy Rosevelt stayed at the lodge when he came west to scope out a new National Park.
