This is my contribution to the scrap the same pic challenge. I used Bazzill cardstock and for the flag photo did a printed vellum overlay with window cutouts. I asked my brother in Iraq to choose a pic for me to use and this is what he sent me. The journaling reads:
Sacrifice - My brother had been in Iraq for 4 1/2 months when we learned of the death of the first soldier in his unit. We had gotten use to a sense of security but were rapidly reawakened to the ever present threat of war and the high cost of freedom. Let us never forget that freedom is often paid for with the blood of others. Never forget what our brave men and women sacrifice for us each and every day.
