I can hardly believe this was 6 months ago already!! It is going by wayyy tooo fast!
In person the cardstock is a pink that matches the patterned paper, it looks os peachy in this picture.
I wanted to add a flower at the bottom but all of the ones seemed too "harsh" for this layout, so I made this one out of tulle. I cut a length, folded it over so there wouldnt be a rough edges, and then just rouched iut back and forth forming the flower. I sewed the button to the center to hold it all together. The stem is a string of pearls, and the leaves are cut from satin and sewn on. I also added some flowery rub ons behind it to add to the "airy" feel of the flower.
I had the same issue when it came to journaling, the black pen to write it on seemed too harsh. SO I used a makeup sponge and inked jounraling lines on using a journaling genie template. I then stamped each letter with a lighter brown ink. I found the quote in the resource section here.
As much as I have tried to do the mutli layered, complicated, tons of stuff kind of layouts... I always seem to gravitate back to the simpler, subtly detailed layouts.. guess thats just the kind of girl I am.
