Oh how breathtaking, the story and the lo!! AMAZING!!!! We had sunshine today, but we have had the most rainfall we have had in history they say?? These past two months. This sure has brightened my day!! TFS!! AWESOME DESIGN!!!
This is another fave, I love it!! I have you as a fave artist so get emailed when you add new lo's, I always love checking them out, don't always get around to commenting straight away though but love each and every one of your designs. Merry Xmas to you and your family Ingrid.
Wow. This is really an exceptional page! The picture and the story are so lovely. It really gives you faith in humanity, doesn't it? You have scrapped this so beautifully. I love how you put the little title letters on their own little pieces of cardstock and cut them out. I will definitely lift that idea. Hope you don't mind. I so love your dandelions and dragonflies. Stunning page.
A great layout Ingrid; those Dutch farmers were SO very brave during WWII; my Dutch brother-in-law was also in hiding on a farm at that time. Don't know how you managed to do those seed-heads and grasses, but they're beautiful. I also love the long stalk below the photo and the two large green flowers. A real summery layout and if it's any comfort to you, we've had lots of rain here in England as well!
Gorgeous page and looovvveee the papers. Are the flowers stamps or rub-ons? What a great story, and how great you know all these stories and that you are still in touch with that family, amazing!
What a beautiful story and such a special photo. I always spend ages looking at your LO's and taking in all the gorgeous details and this one is perfect!!
What an amazing story, Ingrid! Your father was so fortunate to have been in the care of this wonderful family. And, all of us here are so fortunate to have your beautiful art to inspire us!
what a beautiful layout for remembering a happy moment in such a horrible time in our history. Great job. I am going to have to scraplift this...if you don't mind?
During world war 2 my dad had to work in Germany. He managed to escape and could hide himself with a family on a farm in Holland. These people were just fantastic! They took care at him and treated him like their own son. My dad had always the best stories about this time and untill now we still keep in touch with this family. We have spend so many wonderful vacations at that farm! This pic is of one happy summer day a long time ago.In the middle my mom and dad and on the right my mother's brother and my father's sister, who were also a couple! On the left the daughter of the family, who was like another sister to my dad. Thanks for looking!
p.s. I was in the mood for a summery page, because the weather here in the Netherlands is so bad at the moment. Dark and rainy, blehh!!!!
