A page for Lara's album to show her love for 4-H. The journaling is under the photo and can be pulled out with the tab that has the 4-H emblem that was fussy cut. I used black and white embellishments since the paper were so bright.
Journaling: The Claiborne Parish fair was just a few weeks after school started Lara's first year at Summerfield. Her friends raised calves and pigs to enter in the fair. That year she surprised us when she helped them show their pigs! By the next year, we had bought a Brahma bull that she halter trained to enter in the show. In the 11th and 12th grades, she showed a Santa Gertrudis heifer. She won her class at the parish fair and got to take her heifer to the State Fair in Shreveport. A highlight of being in 4-H Club was being selected to attend the Leadership Conference in Washington, DC in the summer of 1986. She served as President of the Parish Jr. Leader group her senior year. In the picture, Jana, Lara, and Calvin are receiving awards for their work in 4-H during their senior year.
I have finished the album and it is bittersweet as doing this has let me relive so many treasured memories of my daughter.
