What a cute photo to showcase. I can't believe I've missed this one. It's so cute! I love the original journaling done by the actual child. The mulitiple shades of green you used are perfect with this theme.
I am a retired K,1,2 multiage teacher and the kids made these traps in my class too! I remember it being very magical!!!! Still have the tiny "leprechaun feet" stamp that would appear in the oddest places!LOL
Love this! Jennifer
This is AWESOME!!! Love all the different shades of green and those flowers are stunning! Love how the petals are folded on the top layer of the flowers and the bow is beautiful! Love your story behind this and an excellent take on Sue's sketch!
Fabulous! I love the celtic designs on the paper! The ribbon and flowers are wonderful also! That is such a fun idea for kids and I like how the teacher left "evidence" of the Leprechaun's visit!!
LOVE, love, love this! THe colours are just so vibrant and the embellishments are gorgeous...especially those flourishes! What a great idea that teacher had...too funny!
I've commented on this already I think, but it deserves another. This LO is one of my all time favs I think because I just so love that paper, have had it for a while and not used it yet, will be hard to steer away from exactly what you've done now I've seen this, love what you've done with those flowers, totally love it all.
Okay, I don't generally love green, but this one rocks. I love that you included her letter. Great flowers, bling and bows. You really scored with this one.
Oh I remember doing this in school!! I sure wish my mom would have taken pics of ours!! Great lo and a fun memory!! Love the swirls! which cart is that from? beautiful!!
That is so cute! I've never heard of such a craft. Its clever but I didn't think many people took it so seriously outside of Ireland and Boston. My DD's 2nd grade teacher and the 2nd grade staff messes up the room the evening before and says that the leprechauns did it. And they leave each child a "gold" coin (chocolate). And the kids write leprechaun stories up through third grade. My dd loved writing leprechaun stories. Such a cute idea though Ryan. You did a great job and you looked so proud of it as you should have been. Shawn, great, awfully pretty LO. Love all that green celtic designed paper.
First off that teacher was cool!! That is the coolest idea evah!! I LOVE her little note that she wrote and that you included it. I love how you curled the paper flowers and the "dew" on the leaves. Is it Glossy Accents? You always include so much cool detail in your LO's.
This is sooo cute!! Love all the green!! Those swirls are soo pretty- I might have to get that cartridge! Love how you included the note that she wrote! Fantastic job!
OMG!! How sweet it that you have the note too!! This is soooo amazing!! I love that celtic ring. I have really been interested about the celtic knots. The is beautiful Shawn!!
In 2000, my dd was given a class assignment to build a Leprechaun Trap to take to school. Each morning when school began, her teacher would have the children check their traps for evidence of 'Wee Folk" visits! There might be a green button, a bit of fabric, or green thread in their traps...the boys and girls sure enjoyed the thrill of thinking a Leprechaun had visited their classroom.
I used SKETCH D from Suepup for this LO.
I used; Cricut to cut swirls, flowers, bees and branches Beacons 3 in 1 Craft Glue tartan ribbon (thanks Patty!) brads & gems Rusty Pickle papers green & brown chalk inks shamrock stickers
I included the actual letter my dd wrote to Mr. Leprechaun once she brought her trap home from school.
