Oh this is so cool! Love how you told the story - are those pics on the left of the fledglings trying their wings? I had one of these make a nest in one of my orchid baskets - hanging right outside my bathroom window. It was fun to peek at her & the babies now and then. Couldn't believe how fast they grew and left the nest!
Ooooooh I love this!!! What a great idea for a page, we have so many bird nests I could do an entire album! Your colors and LO are beautiful and your photos are FANTASTIC!
How cool that they mate for life... Owls do too don't they? Great design... excellent pics and I love that green twig like thing. Just pulls it all together.
Very pretty! I love Mourning Doves! I hear a lot of them in the older part of our town where there are a lot more trees. Great pictures of the birds and I love how you included so many pics in this.
That is a great story, last year we waited for baby cardinals to hatch and had the greatest time watching their parents teach them to fly. Loving your birdhouses.
I needed this page today!!! It is cloudy and nasty here in NJ. We have some mourning doves that nest in our yard every year. My husband and I have an ongoing 'joke' about how they all seem to come out on Sunday mornings and do their wonderful cooing! It's like they are going to church, lol! Pat
I'd say the camera paid for itself right here - those pictures are fantastic! This is an adorable layout too - I especially like the lacy looking border across the top of the row of pictures. Nice work!
OMg!! Shawn this is sooo beautiful!!! I love the pink and that brown. Those little houses are soo sweet. I have a Momma Hawk I wish I could get a pic of her and her babies before they leave.
Aaww! I love this...I too have been watching doves grow up in my garden but I have them all year round which is so lovely!! You really captured this beautifully!!
Beautiful shots!!! I was so thrilled to see these photo's. We have several Mourning Doves that come to our feeders, but I have not seen a nest or their babies. I didn't realize they were so cute. TFS!
Such beautiful photos!! Isn't it wonderful spring is back! Beautiful LO Shawn, I love your beautiful design with the punched border, the ribbons and those cute little birdhouses, this LO celebrates spring!
A few weeks ago, my dh discovered a Mourning Dove had made a nest in our pine tree in the front yard. We enjoyed keeping an eye on 'mama', and listening to her coo to her mate. Soon, two wee heads popped over the edge of the nest...babies! I used my new Nikon and the awesome zoom lens dh gave me to take these shots. The large close-up is the babies in their nest. The other photos were taken after the fledglings left the nest (took up residence in our front planter) and I saw them stretching their wings.
I used; Cricut to cut wreath, 'Baby', & birdhouses MStewart punch label maker with pink tape Quick Quotes Abby Collection polka-dot paper ribbon
Mourning Doves mate for life. They are smaller than pigeons, and both male & female feed the babies Crop Milk from their crops! TFL :)
