LO with the story we found of our dog Layla on a rescue animal website.

The story reads: (sorry its long)
"My name is Layla. I am very quiet and a little bit shy. My foster mum picked me up from the pound, where I had been dumped anonymously three weeks earlier. I was too scared to go outside, because my few weeks in the outside world hadn’t been very good. It wasn’t a pretty place, but at least I felt safe in the pound.

I am only a baby still. I am between 11 and 14 weeks old. I am very tall though, and my foster mum said I could be a model because of my pretty face and my very long legs! My foster family have been very kind and have spent lots of time helping me to get over my fears. My foster mum is still trying to figure out what sort of dog I am. She thinks there might be some boxer, some border collie, some wolf hound, and maybe some kelpie and staffie. If you think you can guess my heritage, she would love you to let her know. It doesn’t much matter though, because I am smart and sweet and I don’t get cranky. I love kisses and hugs. I love mornings when my foster family wake up - there I am with lots of kisses and tail wags, all excited that they are back with me again.

Now I have to find my forever home. I get on well with children and other dogs (but I do get a bit spooked by loud barking). I am a good girl in the car and I am learning to walk on the lead. I try very hard to be good and sit when I am told to.

Do you have room for me at your place? I will definitely be a big girl when I grow up, and I will need a fairly large well fenced yard to play in. I will also need lots of love … do you have some to spare? "

It was only a couple of days between finding her and picking her up on Jan 4th. She is absolutely gorgeous!
