Those flowers are yummy! Sweet bird. Beautiful inking and colors papers compliment the photo so nicely. What a gift you're creating...preserving these memories - nicely done, my friend!
wow you are soooo lucky to have all those vintage embellishments! i sure she'd love to see what youve done with them and are glad they are just gathering dust! that picture is s fabulous!
That bird is perfect for this lo! and the postcard which I'm assuming is the real deal looks awesome! I love old postcards and valentines. They just don't print things like they did before.
WHOA...LOVE the combination of the concentric circles and oval. It reminds me of the saying that 'Love is a circle and has no end.' I cannot even imagine owning such a fantasticly precious photo!!! What a treasure. You have beautifully displayed it. I especially like the shaped, inked edges and sheet music. I also really like how understated the title/journaling is. This is elegant, Patty. SUch a wonderful heritage page, I KNOW Letitia would be delighted. xxxxxxxx
omg...this is GORGEOUS!! Wowieeeeeeeeeee.....you did an amazing job on this!! love that pic, and the design you did around it is so perfect.....just beautiful!!! The chalk was made for you!!!
Simply stunning, Patty! Not only would your grandmother NOT mind you using her stuff, she would be honored that you so skillfully and artistically find a way to incorporate her life's memorabilia into such amazing works of art. You are SO good at the vintage layouts...now that you have a little extra time on your hands you should check into your lss and see about teaching some courses in it. Many people could benefit from your artistry...and many people who are over years old to boot!
This is just breathtaking! How wonderful that you have such precious momentos from your grandmother to use on pages about her! That just makes a perfect heirloom!
Your Grandmother would be so happy to see her treasures included in your beautiful LO, to be cherished forever. You have created a beautiful page with such a special photo!!
what an amazing photo! I love how the parents are in the bg looking on- like yep...those are our girls!! and then in a garden too- so perfect!! i love the LO and all its wonderful detail and how lucky you are to have all these treasures! TFS!!
BE-AU-TI-FUL!!!!!!! You've outdone yourself, Patty - this is just a gorgeous vintage layout! Love the colors and all the pretties on the page - wonderful vintage photo, too! To my faves!
Thanks to CATZ for the wonderful ink!!! I think it adds so much dimension to a LO! The bird and dancing lady in the oval frame are part of my grandmother's collection. I am so fortunate to have these treasures, THANK YOU, MOTHER! Although my grandmother has been gone for many years, now, I still miss her and hope SHE is happy with what I've done with her treasures.
The photo was taken in Houston, Texas, circa 1918. The group of three ladies on the left is my grandmother (center) and her two sisters. In the background and to the right, are their parents, my great grandparents. TFL
