what amazing photos! I've never seen a Raccoon, not even in the zoo, and they look so adorable. Love your layout, great use of Wild Saffron...this has inspired me to try and use up some more of my pack!
Oooo, they do love the cat and dog food....I feed a couple feral kitties at my office and every once in a while we have small raccoon that comes to finish up what the kitties don't. They are fun to watch...busy little paws when they are eating! Such a cute page, Patty. Beautiful colors and flowers....stitching is so bright and pretty...love the glitter on the letters. If only they knew how you've made them stars! LOL... WCSG...hugs, M
Great photos and wonderful layout! I have pictues of raccoons that I took in my garage. I have to say....they are more charming in a park setting, lol!
OMG too funny. We have a place in the Poconos & I found the racoons under my gas grill licking the grease & one eating out of my bird feeder, lol! This is adorable - great colors
This is a great layout! Your little bandits remind me of another one from many, many years ago. We were camping with friends at Yosemite. One of the "girls" had made an angel food cake and brought with her. Unfortunately she left it, wrapped in foil, sitting on a picnic table. We were enjoying watching several raccoons that had wandered into camp when one hopped up on the table, picked up the cake, and ran off on his hind legs carrying the cake! Trish had to run hard to catch up and snatch the cake back. Ohmigosh, but we laughed and laughed over that! Thanks for the memory.
heeeheehee.....are you even giving that Cricut a chance to cool off?!!??? So charming. I love racoons. My FIL had a family living under his cabin in the mountains for YEARS. They burrowed under the old log cabin and kept warm under the stone fireplace in winter! They came out regularly with their newest batch of babies each year. I love the stitching you did on this, and the layering and 3D effects(popdots). I also like the inking and distressing, which adds so much visual interest. Pretty flowers! Nice handwriting, Texas Star~ xxxx
Such a cute LO and story! We had a semi-pet raccoon when we lived in Sunset, LA a number of years ago. He had been rescued after a storm by the people who owned the house we were renting. He would appear each afternoon around 3 PM and come in the house and play with us and the kids until bedtime. He loved bananas and vanilla wafers. I wasn't a scrapbooker then and I have no photos of him. Lately, they have become a nuisance here because they have destroyed a bird feeder trying to get to the seed. Guess I'll have to get predator guards for my feeders.
The pictures were taken on 9/07/09. DD told me to meet her and bring my camera, but wouldn't tell me exactly what to expect. She took us to Trinity Park in Ft. Worth, just before sunset. As soon as we got out of the car, a couple of little raccoons ambled out of the woods, and across a field to greet us. Liz had a bag of cat food, and these little fellas were happy to see us! Before long, there must have been a dozen raccoons to share in the feast! They were just delightful, and the LITTLE BANDITS STOLE OUR HEARTS!
