So very pretty. Love the leaves. Those caught my eye immediately. That is such a cool way of doing it. I have never used stickles. Is there a reason you need to use thin paper? Love the design and colors too. The pics are nice as well. What a large pumpkin!
Two in one day!? Hurrah! Love to see your works of heart. ~How scenic! Such a pretty combination of circles and scallops on this one....it just yells, "Autumn"! Your leaves are g*o*r*g*e*o*u*s, Sassy girl. I am glad they came in handy and inspired you to craft this special memory of your vacation. The pumkins look cute with the Stickles, great inking, and I love the orange gems. xx
OMGOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is stunning. This lo is absolutely one of my favorites for sure. I love the technique you used and the leaves show it. Beautiful. Wish I were in New England right now. - love ya Ginger
This LO was fun to do. I especially enjoyed making the leaves. Before we went on our vacation, I bought three leaf stamps and had a maple leaf punch from my trip to Canada. I had been looking for a thin paper to use for the stamping. When Shawn (Micupoftea) sent some little leaves punched out of dictionary pages, I knew I had found the perfect light weight paper! Thank you SHAWN!
Here's the process I used: Misted several (old) dictionary pages with a variety of colors of Glimmer Mist. When they dried, I stamped the leaf shapes in a burgundy or gold color ink. Last, I stickled the outline and veins in each leaf, then cut them out by hand. A few of the leaves were Glimmered, punched (not stamped), then Stickled. Thanks also, Shawn, for the little pumpkins!
The pictures were taken in Kennybunkport, Main. The photo of the LARGE PUMPKIN was taken outside a restaurant where we had a bowl of the best Lobster Bisque!
