How fun! Love the story that goes with it and the fact that you were holding a cup sort of underscores the "Coca-Cola Cowgirl" story you journaled about! I am VERY impressed with the barbed wire stitching-you amaze me!

Hi Patty! You've got such great handwriting for journaling! I love your stitching and how you went for the barbed wire effect. What an awesome picture of you too!! I loved reading the story behind this in your journaling, especially since I was born in good old '82! lol :) This is really one LO that will be a treasured memory for your kids! Just as I suspected, your new scrap room is yielding fabulous LOs!!!! :)

OMG..you have totally outdone yourself. The picture is so gorgeous. What a knock out!!!! This paper collection is just perfect. The barbed wire is so creative and completes the lo perfectly.
Great stitching with the doodled X's to make up the pop wire. And look what you can do at one. Loved the flowers you made. This is all so gorgoeus......
What a COOL page!!! Love the papers, the journaling is fantastic and the photo is awesome. It totally ties together the title and the story, so PERFECT!!! You are drinking coke, right?
Did a little inking and flower making using my Cricut. The "barbed wire" was made by stitching around the edge of the background paper, then doodling little sx's. Crackle painted the corrugated letters and did the journaling, also added a simple little mat behind the picture.
I have been wanting to do this LO since Bo Bunny came out with the Delilah Collection, but there was always something else that came up. This was such a FUN experience for me. After growing up on horses, I got to ride in a parade, here in Texas. You can zoom in to read the story, if you wish. The picture was taken about 28 years ago. Isn't it funny , since I'm ony 29 now!!! LOL....Guess I must have been a year old when the picture was made!
For those of you who are wondering what a "Coca Cola Cowgirl" is....It's a reference to the term, "Coca Cola Cowboy", which is a "wanna be cowboy"....one who dresses up like a cow boy, but is not a "real" cowboy. Also, at the time of this pic, there was a song by Mel Tillis which I loved, called "Coca Cola Cowboy"!
Thanks for looking, everyone!!! Hugs to you ALL!!!
