Wow! This is FABULOUS!!! I love the way you layered and folded these awesome papers, and the pic is just adorable!!! Great theme and title work, too ~ I love everything about this LO!!!
I love these BoBunny pps! I used the striped one for my 4th of July page recently too! It is festive. You're right...it adds a touch of green that coordinates with outdoors perfectly! Awwww, aren't Lee & Liz just adorable here? What a clever idea to use straws as 'boosters' under the curves! I really like your page arrangement, and I particularly like the title and how you used the label maker! Great patriotic page! You are a girl after my own heart...this country means so much to me! xxx
On this LO I had planned to buy a different line of patriotic-looking pp, but when I saw how perfect the colors in "Block Party" by Bo Bunny were, so I HAD to have these beautiful pps! This line has just enough red, white and blue to be perfect for The Fourth of July.....wiith a splash of green to work beautifully with outdoor photographs! I used a Martha Stewart Around The Page border punch, and stickled the USA die cut (Thanks, Shawn!). Also, I used some ribbon, ric-rac, buttons and wire from my stash, as well as my Making Memories Label Maker. I wanted to add more texture, so I cut a triangle out of the paper, then misted some water onto the back of it and used pencils to mold the waves. Under the waves, I glued pieces of a straw (when the paper had dried) to help it keep its shape over time.
The picture is of Lee and Liz when they were six and two, respectively, in 1986. Lee was playing with a sparkler and Liz was holding a small U. S. flag. They were having so much fun!
