This LO is entered in the October Heritage Challenge. Because the authentic antique scrap is so lovely, I wanted to make this LO fairly simple, yet elegant. The large piece of antique embossed scrap is from my maternal grandmother's (the lady in the picture) collection. Techniques used are paper tearing, paper distressing and painting. The pp is from the Jazmyne Collection by Bo Bunny Press. The chipboard letters by Maya Road are painted with an 18 K gold leaf pen by Krylon. The lovely pearl flourishes are by ZVA. The gro grain ribbon is French, and I purchased it at least ten years ago at a ribbon store where I live. Unfortunately, it has gone out of business, now. Guess I didn't buy enough!!! LOL The vintage violets were made in Japan. I remember seeing this excellent quality of flowers back in the 50's and 60's. I tied them together with the small purple ribbon from my stash and braided the stems. The torn and folded frame around the picture is painted with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.

The portrait is of my mother as a baby with her mother. The year was 1921. Mother will be 90 next August!

Thanks for taking a peek, everyone! ....Patty
