“Two brothers. One beautiful day at the Guadalupe River. Playing. Side by Side. Sharing Nature. Each making memories all his own. Same day. Same river. Same tree. Same glorious earth. Two completely separate stories to tell.”

The memories inside the tags are snippets of the stories we journalled for them on this day. I wrote down their own words.
The background pprs and tags are all Provocraft Eco Africa textured handmade paper. The papers simulated the texture of the tree, which gave this a very rustic look and feel. I decided to handwrite the journaling to make it look rough and boyish. One of the 2’s in the title is stamped with MM Foam Stamps, Philadelphia, but the rest is handwritten. The twine is also from Eco Africa. I just wove it through hole-punch circles – to “connect” the boys pictures. I distressed with a combination of Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo and Old Paper and MM Scrapbook Colors Paint. I also used MM Self-Adhesive Fabric to trim.
